OIL PAINTING — LARGE PALETTE KNIFE — PLEIN AIR — ALLA PRIMA / AUSTRALIA!

Today I’m painting the majestic — River Red Gum — trees that line many of Australia’s river systems and waterways. I will be working on the Murray river (Millewa or Tongala to the traditional custodians), which is the third longest navigable river in the world — after the Amazon and Nile rivers. It is 2508 Kilometres (1,558 miles) long, spanning New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. I will be working exclusively with large palette knifes and oil paint and doing the whole painting in one go, wet-on-wet, or alla prima. Join me on this perfect and tranquil day down the river!
