"A leader we can believe in."

[A silly anecdote: I actually brought his book, The Audacity of Hope, to have him sign if I "could get close enough." I had a permanent marker too. Oh well.]

Barack Obama spoke to about 18,000 people @ Kohl Center, Madison, Wisconsin. The students were reminded that if they are a student in Wisconsin they can vote. It was a great event. Late, for my little ten year old. But I think she will remember this night for a long time. I asked her what her strongest impression was from the night and she said "He’s going to end the war." "You really believe he will do it don’t you?" "Yes, she said, of course." I hope so. I believe he will.

The things that were important to this crowd seemed to be: the war, student credits to go to school. When he said they would have to work for it by volunteering the crowd went absolutely WILD! Imagine that. Cheering because he wants them to do something for others. They also went wild went he mentioned that George Dubya would NOT BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE. I think even Obama was taken aback by the cheering over that comment.
