A live camel moves through the plaster-cast-lined corridors of the Mackintosh building (‘the Mac’) at the Glasgow School of Art. In the early 1900s, live animals were brought into a basement studio for animal life drawing lessons. A letter in the school’s archives describes how a camel once ‘humped’ its way into the building.
